First Drop 'The Big Blind' 2006
Fruit laden and structured – fun, yet serious! This wine demonstrates the perfect marriage of two Piedmontese varieties– the fruit and acidity of Barbera melds perfectly with the savory character and structure of Nebbiolo. With a medium plum red with purple hues, this blend has an intricate nose of mushroom earthiness and a hint of spice, layered with rich raspberry and cherry fruits. On the palate, it is beautifully balanced. The kirsch and dark chocolate of the Barbera melds perfectly with the smoked game and furry tannins of the Nebbiolo.
