Konrad 'Central Otago' Pinot Noir 2006
A full purple magenta color, this Pinot Noir has a nose that is lush with ripe, dark fruit. Plum, black cherry, licorice and spice dominate while a lovely smokiness from high-quality French oak adds dimension. The palate is a powerful Pinot statement: rich dark sweet fruits fill the mouth and layer as the palate builds. Chocolate, mocha and licorice support the fruit intensity while fine, ripe, powdery tannins add weight, richness and length. This wine was given 89+ Points by Stephen Tanzer.
